The Precise Promise

Five commitments we make in writing on every job, plus plain English on what each one covers. A guarantee with hidden exclusions isn't a guarantee.

In writing, every job

The five guarantees

Price

The Exact-Price Promise

Your price is measured on site with measurement-based estimating software and handed to you in writing before we leave. That's the final price for the agreed scope, and it's good for 60 days.

What this covers: everything written on your quote, at the price on your quote. The figure comes off real measurements of your home, not a rule of thumb — which is why we can commit to it on the spot.

If the scope changes: if you ask for additional work later, we stop, talk it through, and give you a separate price for it. You approve that before anything happens. It never just appears on the bill.

Products

Named Products, Not “Quality Paint”

Premium Sherwin-Williams products, with the exact product line written on your quote alongside the surface it goes on. You can look it up before you agree to anything.

Why it matters: “we use quality paint” is the easiest sentence in this trade to say and the hardest to check. Naming the line is what turns it into something you can hold us to.

What this covers: the product on your quote is the product that goes on your house. If we ever need to substitute — a discontinued line, a color that won't hold in a given base — we tell you why and you approve the alternative first.

Schedule

The On-Time Promise

We start on the day we said we'd start. If we're going to be delayed, you hear it from us as soon as we know — not by standing in your driveway wondering where we are.

What this covers: our scheduling. If we've overbooked ourselves, that's our failure and we'll tell you so.

About weather: we won't paint exteriors over damp substrate or into rain, because doing so guarantees failure. Weather can move your dates. What it will never do is change your price — no rescheduling fees, no lost-day charges.

Cleanup

The Spotless Guarantee

We clean up at the end of every working day, not just at the end of the job. Your home comes back to you each evening — tools tidied, debris removed, floors clear.

What this covers: dust, debris, drips, tape, packaging and equipment. Your house should be more pleasant to live in during the job than you're expecting.

If we fall short: tell us and we'll come back and put it right.

Satisfaction

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

You do not pay until you are 100% satisfied with the work. We will do a final walk around in reasonable conditions, including natural lighting.

What this means practically: the balance isn't due until that walk around is done and you're happy with what you're looking at. Being picky at the final walk around isn't awkward — it's exactly what it's for.

Straight answers

The questions worth asking a painter

These are the details that decide whether a paint job lasts five years or fifteen. Here's where we stand on each one, in writing, before you commit.

Key questions about painting work and how Precise Painting answers them
The question Why it matters Our answer
Is this the final price or an estimate?“Estimates” can legally move. Fixed quotes can't.Final, fixed, in writing
How many coats? One coat over a color change will telegraph through within months. Two full coats standard
What prep is included?Prep is most of the labor and all of the longevity. It's the first thing cut to win on price.Fill, sand, caulk and prime
Which exact products?“Quality paint” means nothing. Ask for product lines by name.Premium Sherwin-Williams products, named on your quote
Is drywall repair included?Commonly excluded, then added as an extra once work starts.Minor repair included
Who actually does the work? Many companies sell with one team and hand the labor to another you never meet. Our own crew, introduced before we start
How long is the quote good for?A price with a short fuse is a pressure tactic, not a quote.Good for 60 days, in writing
How is the price calculated?A number pulled from thin air can move. A measured one can't.Measurement-based estimating software, on site
Can I see a certificate of insurance?SC doesn't require liability cover for residential painting. Plenty carry none.Issued on request
Are you licensed to do this?A business license is the baseline. Not everyone knocking on doors has one.Licensed, bonded and insured

A cheaper headline number almost always means a smaller scope, not a better deal — prep skipped, one coat instead of two, a thinner product. Everything above is written into your quote so you can see what you're getting.

Five promises. Zero risk to find out the price.

A free consultation, no more than 90 minutes, a written final number, and a price good for 60 days. Most people book their date before we leave.
